Bio
Sage (F1632) is a striking Mexican wolf with a calm and elusive demeanor. She was born at Wolf Haven in 2017 and lived with her family in a large, quiet pre-release enclosure on the outer edge of the sanctuary before moving to live with her current companion, Hodari (M1458). Sage has a remarkably calm and sometimes sleepy demeanor, which is something we’ve observed in her from a young age. Sage and Hodari share two enclosures. The front enclosure is along our public visitor route, and the second is a secluded enclosure behind it. We strive to give the animals on our public visitor route two enclosures so they have the option to retreat from the view of the public if they wish.
